WHAT IS EXPOSURE?
Exposure is a photography workshop that I offer to mamas who want to learn how to capture their sweet kiddos with their fancy camera they never use. ;)
We'll flip that bad boy on and dive into the world of manual photography.
I know that might sound a bit scary, but trust me...it's not.
What I love the most about Exposure is that moment when it just clicks for everyone.
A few setting changes, a little education and voila! You now have bright happy photos!
Take a peek at my dear friend Julie's photos before she took my Exposure Workshop...
aaaaaaand after my Exposure Workshop...
Julie is not a professional photographer. (yet) ;)
She received a new dslr camera as a gift and was so excited to rip it open and start using it.
She soon realized that she had no idea what she was doing. Sure, she could throw it in auto mode and accept the images she captured, but she wanted
to capture the light in her daughter's eyes and the teething, drooly grin of her perfect son.
Well...she learned all that and then some.
Julie has seriously made me so proud. She's really discovered her love for photography and I'm so happy to help her with that.
It's a pretty amazing talent to discover.
WHAT KIND OF CAMERA DO I NEED?
All of my attendees must have a Nikon or Cannon DSLR Camera.
I HIGHLY recommend that you purchase a 1.8 50mm lens as well.
I don't require the lens, but every mama who has been to my workshop has it or went home right away and bought it. :)
It's a very inexpensive lens and it shoots amazing images.
WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE WORKSHOP?
The most important thing I want you to know is that Exposure is fun and stress free.
I limit the class size to 5-8 people because I really want to take the time to help everyone learn their camera.
We will start the day by learning the functions of all of those fancy buttons.
We will discuss APERTURE, SHUTTER SPEED and ISO.
I will share tips on how to candidly photograph your kiddos and capture that beautiful light.
I also have a little section on how to photograph with pets!
Here are some behind the scene shots:
Attendees will also receive a beautiful 25 page workbook loaded with all of the information we go over and the newest issue of CLICK magazine!
One mama might just leave with a free subscription to it! ;)
I'm also so excited to announce that my friend Sarah has opened up her beautiful home to us!
After our class and lunch at the studio we will all take a short drive to her home and practice
what we learned on two adorable models in rooms that were made for a magazine.
It's the BEST practice! Here's a peek at the her home and the adorable models...
